July

July 25th – First practice for Harvest Teams.

August

August 1st  – 14th – Hands-off Period (Sport Season Policy).

August 9th – Coaches must attend the MASO/MPA Coaches Course on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. The link to the meeting is https://rsu3-org.zoom.us/j/83471187470. A coach from each team by gender offered at the school must attend this meeting or certify through the Athletic Administrator that they have made up the class, if it is not attended on August 9, 2022.

August 12th – First countable game for Harvest Teams (after 3:00 pm).

August 15th – First Practice.

Week of August 15th – Email to Coaches and AD’s regarding Membership Dues.

August 19th – First Inter-school Scrimmage (after 5 days of conditioning).

August 26th – Schedules Due (Harvest teams due one week prior to 1st game).

September

September 1st – First Countable Game (after 3:00 p.m.).

Week of September 19th – Email explaining the Regional All-Star Nomination Process sent out to Coaches and Athletic Directors.

September 23rd – Membership Dues to President (Michael Jeffrey, 8 Somerset St., Bangor ME 04401) Membership Form

September 25th – 1st Step of the All-Star Process Email. Coaches nominate up to five of their own players using a Google Form.  Nominations due by Monday, October 7th.

October

October 14th – Recommended Officials Due to MPA.

Week of October 17th – 2nd Step of the All-Star Process. Coaches receive via email the Nominations Sheets and Google Form Ballot for the voting process.

October 17th – 21st On-line voting begins for Sportsmanship Banner (One week to vote).

October 18th – Last Countable Game.

October 19th – Make up for October 18th games only.

October 21st – *Girls’ (and Boys’ Class D) Regional Prelims.

October 22nd – Boys’ Regional Prelims.

October 25th – Girls’ Regional Quarter Finals.

October 26th – Boys’ Regional Quarter Finals.

October 27th – Voting for Regional All-Stars via Google Form due.

October 28th – *Boys’ and Girls’ Class A and D Semifinals.

October 29th – Boys’ and Girls’ Class B and C Semifinals.

November

Week of November 1st  –  All-America/All-New England Ballots are sent to coaches via email.

November 1st  – *Class A and D Regional Finals (Boys 4:00/Girls 6:30).

Class A North –  Cony High School

Class D North – Presque Isle Middle School

Class A South – Sanford High School

Class D South – Freeport High School (Boys 4:30/Girls 7:00)

November 2nd  – *Class B and C Regional Finals (Boys 4:00/Girls 6:30).

Class B North –  Cameron Stadium, Bangor

Class C North –  Presque Isle Middle School

Class B South – Lewiston High School

Class C South – Mt. Ararat High School

November 4th – Maine Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star Teams are posted on the website.  Senior All-Stars who plan to attend the 28th Maine Soccer Coaches Annual Senior Bowl will email the President at mikejeffrey9911@gmail.com

November 5th – ^State Finals.

Class B & C South Site – Hampden Academy

Class A & D North Site – Deering Memorial Field, Portland

November 11th – Final RSVP date for Senior All-Stars attending Senior Bowl.

November 13th – 28th Maine Soccer Coaches Annual Senior Bowl at Thomas College. Seniors will receive invitations for the 49th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet.

November 14th – All America/All New England ballot due to the President via email (Ballot may be hand delivered to the President by coaches who attend the Senior Bowl on Sunday).

Week of November 18th – Invitations to the 49th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet are emailed to Coaches and All-Stars.

December

December 4th – 49th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet at the Anna Shrine Temple on Broadway Avenue in Bangor. Girl’s Banquet begins at 12 Noon with registration starting at 11:00. Boy’s Banquet will follow at 4:00 with registration beginning at 3:00.

*All playoff games from the preliminary round through the semi-finals must be played by the date listed, except for the special circumstances listed below. All games in those rounds may be played early. 

*May move the 10/21 game to 10/22 and the 10/28 game to 10/29 by mutual agreement. 

^Potential SAT conflict. 

*All regional championship games will be played at a field with an artificial surface scheduled in advance of the season. With the lack of turf fields in some parts of the state it is possible that a school will host and play on their home field. 

*State championship games will rotate from a Southern Maine to Northern Maine site every year with the 5th year of a rotation looking to schedule games at an Aroostook County location
